How QuickCubeSolve processes your cube
Last updated September 26, 2026. This page explains what happens when you use the camera solver and which optional services may be enabled by the site owner.
Camera and photo processing
The solver reads camera frames and selected photos in your browser to estimate sticker colors and build a cube state. The solver does not send captured cube images to its own server. Camera access is controlled by your browser and can be revoked in the site permissions.
What the solver stores
The current solver keeps the scan and solution state in the active page so it can show the cube net and 3D playback. Starting a new scan or closing the page clears that working state unless your browser or an enabled service retains its own data.
Optional analytics and advertising
Analytics and advertising scripts are only included when the corresponding production environment settings are configured. When analytics is enabled, we measure actions such as starting a scan, confirming faces, generating a solution, and finishing playback, along with interface language, input method, and counts. These custom events do not include photos, sticker layouts, or error messages. Analytics and advertising providers may also receive normal request or device data under their own policies. Some product links are affiliate links; QuickCubeSolve may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
How the solution is calculated
Color recognition maps the nine sticker samples on each face to the six supported colors. The state validator checks color counts and cube constraints before a computer search generates move instructions. Solution length is not guaranteed to be the shortest possible.
Browser support
Live camera scanning requires a secure HTTPS origin, camera permission, and a modern browser. If camera access is unavailable, use the photo upload option. See the camera solver instructions for lighting and orientation advice.
